Best Solar Heat Lamps Review

We spend hours researching, testing, and comparing different solar heat lights, so we can provide you with the best options on the market.

We made sure that each and every product reviewed in this list is made with high-quality materials, energy-efficient, great for chicken coops, and of course, well priced.

1. KK.BOL Portable Solar Powered Chicken Coop Lights

KK.BOL Portable Solar Led Light Bulb Rechargeable Solar Lamp S-1200-01 for Outdoor Lighting Fishing Camping Chicken coop Lamp Lights

The KK.BOL solar power heat lamp is our number one choice for today’s list.

I really like the hook addition, as it allows you to use this solar heat lamp literally anywhere. Also, the lightweight solar panel makes it a very reliable solar emergency light.

KK.BOL solar heat lights offer up to 130 lumens output, which is more than enough to light you chicken coops and keep your chicken warm at night.

The added USB cable is there to provide you with a reliable source of energy if direct sunlight isn’t an option, it’s simply a convenient bonus and truly appreciated.

For every 4 hours of charge time under the direct sunlight, you can squeeze around 5 hours of running time out of the KK.BOL solar powered chicken coop lights, a pretty decent ratio and will probably be enough for most.

Everything is top notch, from the quality of the solar panel to the age-resisting cables. KK.BOL claims a lifespan of 50000 hours, which is pretty achievable for such a respectable brand.

There are some fallbacks that I have noticed in this solar heat lamp such as the lack of waterproofing.

You need to notice that the solar panel is waterproof, it’s just the lamp that isn’t. Also, the lack of a warranty, it’s not a big deal really, but it’s worth mentioning.

What we like

  • Up to 5 hours running time
  • Bright
  • Easy to install
  • Portable
  • Can be charged using a 5-8V charger (Included)

What we don’t like

  • The lamp itself isn’t waterproof
  • No warranty, only a 30-day return policy

2. Bemexred Solar Heat Lamps for Chicken Coop

Bemexred Solar Lights Outdoor/Indoor,Remote Control Solar Powered Pendant Lights IP65 Waterproof,Auto On/Off Hanging Shed Lamp Dusk to Dawn for Barn Gazebo Storage Room Balcony Chicken Coop

The premium solar powered lights for chicken coops offered by Bemexred is an eye pleaser, the black and white accent on it is pretty and goes well with most decorations and color combinations.

They offer up to 800 lumens on the highest brightness, thus being great as solar powered heat lamps for plants that may need the external heat or light.

Another usage for them is that they can be a nice treat for your pet as they are one the best solar powered heat lamps for dog houses, lizards, poultry, or other pets.

The Bemexred solar lamps for chicken coops offer an astonishing 18 hours of working time, and for the mere cost of 8 hours of sunlight, it’s a perfect balance in my opinion, thus perfect for those who get less sunlight.

Also, Bemexred offers a 1 Year warranty, which is the icing on the top for this piece of beauty.

The only drawback of the Bemexred solar powered heat lamps may be on the expensive side, yet, worth every penny.

The shed lights and solar panels are connected with waterproof connectors and also the IP65 waterproofing may add a bit to the initial cost, but at least it’s a one-time payment and more cost efficient than normal heat lamps. It’s a wise decision to invest in them really.

What we like

  • IP65 Water and weatherproof
  • 1-Year warranty
  • Up to 18 hours running time
  • Bright, and comes with 3 Light Modes
  • Easy to install
  • Replaceable batteries, and a remote control

What we don’t like

  • You can’t replace the light bulb

3. Lozayi Solar Powered Heat Lamp For Dog houses, and Chicken Coops

Solar Lights,LOZAYI Solar Lights Outdoor,IP65 Waterproof 16.4Ft Cord Remote Control Led Outdoor Lights Pendant Light with 270°Wide Adjustable Solar Panel for Home Yard Garden Decorate-Warm White

Another premium, high quality, and a great looking solar heat lamp for chicken cooks is the Lozayi’s, a well deserved place on our list.

The amount of extras included with this solar heat lamp is worthy of such a high price product; the 5 meters cable, the remote control, the timer, and the 3 light modes that you can switch between.

The highest light intensity can reach up to 400 lumens which makes it one of the best solar powered heat lamps for reptiles!

The running time is astonishing, the Lozayi solar power heat lamp truly excels with 16 hours working time after only 8 hours of charging hours.

You need to notice that it’s a high brightness light, not a meek low brightness one, so 16 hours of it is something.

The whole product is IP65 waterproof so you don’t need to worry about rains or any other bad weather condition that may affect other solar heat lamps.

Coming with a 1-year warranty to keep you safe if any faulty comes to show, while I highly doubt it as the Lozayi solar heat light is premium and high quality.

Sadly, the price tag is kind of high, but it’s justified by all the extras and the performance, and also you won’t spend any more money on electricity bills, so it’s OK.

What we like

  • IP65 Water and weatherproof
  • 1-Year warranty
  • Up to 16 hours running time
  • Bright, and comes with 3 Lighting Modes
  • Easy to install
  • An added remote control

What we don’t like

  • On the expensive side

4. Afoskce Solar Heat Lamps for Dog House

Solar Light Bulb Outdoor Afoskce 130LM Portable Solar Powered Led Bulb Light for Chicken Coops Shed Hiking Fishing Camping Tent Lighting(2Pack)

The Afoskce Solar lamps for chicken coops are pretty well rounded and the price tag is the main selling point really, they perform amazingly, and their brightness is really high and will surely satisfy.

The way you can charge it with an extra USB cable – that is included by the way- is a terrific idea, for some people may face trouble getting sunlight some days.

The running time is mildly good, the Afoskce solar heat lamp can run for up to 4 hours, while this doesn’t sound like a high number, it’s surely good and will suffice for most cases.

The charging time is about 5 hours in the sun and it’s fully charged. And don’t forget that you can charge it using the included USB cable.

The two cons I’ve noticed is that the panel and cables are waterproof, but the lamp isn’t, this isn’t a big deal as they are intended to be used indoors as solar lights for chicken coops.

But it’s worth mentioning so that you don’t use them outdoors when it’s raining.

Lastly, the lack of a warranty isn’t a big deal, still, it’s a top notch solar heat light and definitely worth the money.

What we like

  • Up to 4 hours running time
  • Easy to install
  • Can be charged using a 5-8V charger (Included)
  • Lightweight and Portable

What we don’t like

  • The lamp itself isn’t waterproof
  • No warranty, only a 30-day return policy

5. EleLight Portable Solar Powered LED Bulb Chicken Coops Light

EleLight Portable Solar LED Bulb Lights Solar Powered Chicken Coops Light with 3.5M Solar Panel for Camping Tent Fishing Hiking Chicken Coop Shed Lighting(140LM 1600mAh)

The EleLight solar powered heat lamps for pigs or other pets’ coops are a fine addition to your place.

You can either use the solar panel to charge them or if you find it more convenient, you can instead use the USB cable included to charge them.

Their size is small and very lightweight, thus making for a great portable alternative to plain lamps.

The running time is quite superior to other similar solar heat lamps, the running time is about 8 hours and you would only need to charge them for about 4 hours in direct sunlight.

Also, you would be astonished by the quality of the materials, they are durable and you wouldn’t need to worry about if they fall or any other accident.

EleLight solar powered LED heat lamp got two drawbacks that they share with similar models, they, of course, lack the 100% waterproofing, so you get a fully waterproof package but the lamp, so keep it in mind.

Lastly, there is no warranty included, again, this is no big deal and you probably won’t face any trouble with any product that we recommend you, but out of honesty, we need to inform you.

What we like

  • Up to 8 hours running time
  • Bright
  • Easy to install
  • Portable and lighweight
  • Can be charged using a 5-8V charger (Included)

What we don’t like

  • The lamp itself isn’t waterproof
  • No warranty, only a 30-day return policy

6. Flyhoom Solar Heat Lamps for Reptiles, Pigs, Dog House

Flyhoom Solar Camping Lights Rechargeable, Solar Lights Indoor with Remote, 4 Light Mode, 280LM, Solar Powered Light Bulb for Camping, Hiking, Power Outage, Hurricane, Storm

The 280 Lumens Flyhoom solar heat lights are pretty exquisite and the best alternative for plain heat lights.

Comes with a remote control that can either set a timer for the lamp, or you can use it to change the light mode and intensity, with the highest reaching up to 280 lumens

You probably will fall in love with their small size and the versatility of their placement, they are reliable and convenient as solar heat lamps.

The running time is where the Flyhoom solar power lamps for chicken coops shine – pun intended- they muster up to 18 hours of working time!

This is pretty great especially when you know that they only need about 6 hours to fully charge. Also, you can charge them using a USB charger that is included with the package.

Again with the lack of 100% waterproofing, the same goes for the Flyhoom solar heat light, the lamp isn’t waterproof, so be cautious with how you place them.

And also, there is no warranty, but it’s not a big deal really, and shouldn’t affect your choice that much.

What we like

  • Up to 18 hours running time
  • Easy to install
  • Can be charged using a 5-8V charger (Included)
  • Bright, and comes with 3 Lighting modes
  • An added remote control

What we don’t like

  • The lamp itself isn’t waterproof
  • No warranty, only a 30-day return policy

7. Viewpick Solar Power Heat Lamp for dogs, pigs, reptiles, and chicken

Viewpick 2 Pack Solar Powered LED Bulb Light Solar LED Lantern Tent Light Bulb Solar USB Rechargeable Lamp 3 Modes Outdoor Emergency Light Portable Camping Light for Hurricane Fishing Shed Playhouse

The last solar heat lamp we have today is sold by Viewpick, they are small sized and pretty portable making them great solar emergency lights.

The orange color is pretty likable and feels nice to look at, they can also muster up to 165 Lumens, which is pretty great.

The Viewpick solar power heat lamps come with 3 lighting modes, but sadly there is no remote control and you need to change them by hand using the button.

You can either use the solar panel or the USB cable to charge the Viewpick solar power heat lamp and in both cases.

You get up to 8 hours of running time, compared to only 6 hours of charging time in direct sunlight. But what is really great is that you can also switch easily between the two charging modes to suit your needs.

Again, the same cons, the Viewpick solar heat lamps aren’t different from similar models, they tend to have a full waterproofing but not for the lamp, after all, they are made to be used as solar powered heat lamps for chicken coops.

Also, there is no warranty, but the 30-day return policy and the welcoming customer service will surely suffice.

What we like

  • Up to 8 hours running time
  • Easy to install
  • Can be charged using a 5-8V charger (Included)
  • Lightweight and Portable
  • Bright, and comes with 3 Light Modes

What we don’t like

  • The lamp itself isn’t waterproof
  • No warranty, only a 30-day return policy
